Welcome
You have just arrived at one of the intersection of theology and ministry, the CHICAGO STUDIES website.
The purpose of this site is to maintains a dialogue with our readers. This site will help you examine what the journal has to offer you. It will give you a way to subscribe to the journal. The site also offers an archive which gives the table of contents of each issue for the past few years. This archive allows teachers and readers the opportunity to search for specific topic which might be of interest to them for the personal enrichment or for use in classes or other study sessions. The site will also give you a way to contact both the Publishing Department and the Editorial Department.
Recently, the Editorial Department conducted a survey of our subscribers. In your response to our survey, you have asked us to focus on the number of areas which you said would be helpful to you as professional ministers. In order, you asked for articles on: scripture, theological studies (especially contemporary issues), pastoral theology, liturgy, church history, catechesis, sociology, philosophy, moral theology and spirituality. Your requests will guide our editorial decisions over the next several volumes.
This site is also a way for authors to submit articles for publications. CHICAGO STUDIES both actively seeks articles around specific themes and welcomes unsolicited articles from scholars and practitioners in ministry. All areas are considered, particularly those listed above which have been identified as of special interest to our readers. Please contact the Editorial Department with any questions.
At CHICAGO STUDIES our goal is to provide a venue to bring some of the best thinking about theology to priests, deacons, directors of religious education, pastoral associates, chaplains and educators and thoughtful Christians in search of ongoing intellectual formation which will positively affect their practice of ministry.
